The five candidates running for the Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock constituency crown will get a chance to have their say next week in advance of the April 16 provincial election.

The Alberta Party’s Wayne Rufiange, Buster Malcolm, from the Alberta Independence Party, United Conservative Party candidate Glenn van Dijken, Therese Taschuk, flying the NDP flag and Independent Brad Giroux have confirmed their attendance for an April 11 forum, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at Memorial Hall.

Jointly hosted by the Westlock News and Westlock and District Chamber of Commerce, candidates will open the night by telling the audience a bit about themselves, before having 10 minutes to talk on their party’s platform. Rounding out the night, select written questions from the audience will be presented to the candidates to answer.
